Beginning in 2014, K-12 public education is primarily funded through the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), which establishes a per student funding amount for all students (Base Grant) and additional funding for low income, foster youth, and English Learner students (Supplemental and Concentration Grants). The additional funding is aligned to goals intended to improve and/or increase services for those students; additionally, the use of Supplemental and Concentration Grant funding requires input from stakeholders in order to develop the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).
The LCFF / LCAP Parent Stakeholder Meeting is your opportunity to review the district’s current LCAP and provide input on the recommended use of LCAP funding for next year. Please join us next Thursday evening (1/29/15) in the WUHS Cafeteria for parents to have “table discussions” and make recommendations to improve and/or increase services to students. Light refreshments will be provided.
