PUBLIC SAFETY

Now offered at Wasco High School

The Public Safety Pathway is designed to provide students who are interested in the fields of criminal justice, emergency response, firefighting, paramedics, police, and any other public services field, the basic skills and knowledge for employment.

Public Safety careers include Fire-Fighting, Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement or another field in Public Safety?

If you enjoy helping others, are active and enjoy challenges, take your first steps towards a career in Public Safety.  WHS/Bakersfield College offer classes, academies and degree programs in such fields as Fire Technology, Emergency Medical Services and Law enforcement.

Students may earn an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certificate of Achievement.  Career Pathway aligned to AS degree in Administration of Justice at BC.
