INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION

Industrial Automation can be described as interconnected equipment, technology, and systems working together to maximize production, assure safety, use resources efficiently, and ensure product quality. It involves using physical machines and control systems to automate tasks within an industrial process.

 

This course will allow students to build robots which is an introduction to factory automation.  Students will continue in Vex Robotics that will provide the tools to inspire the problem solvers of tomorrow and is so much more than just building robots.

 

The course prepares students for careers in the design, operation, and management of industrial automation systems focusing on our local industries.

 

Students may earn a Certificate of Achievement in Industrial Automation.  Career Pathway aligned to AS degree in Industrial Automation at BC.
